Applicants to the MS program in 材料科学与工程 should have a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or the physical sciences. Students accepted with degrees in disciplines other than 陶瓷, 玻璃, or 材料科学与工程 may be required to complete some undergraduate courses to ensure competency in the field.
毕业要求
The program requires 30 credit-hours beyond the bachelor's level, as follows:
- Thermodynamics of Materials or 固态物理(3学分)
- 材料特性(3学分)
- 研究生-level technical electives (9 credits)
- 研究生 Seminar (0 credit, mandatory every semester)
- 论文研究(14学分)
- 研究研讨会(1学分)
Candidates for the degree must submit and successfully defend a Master's thesis based on work completed as part of the 14 credit-hours of thesis research. 与他们的论文导师合作, candidates must also write and submit a manuscript suitable for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
